Parts I&II of Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson
The first two sections of Treasure Island make for a very inticing read, for the most part people seem to already have expectations for the book based simply on it's legacy and the title. The first two sections fufill very few of these archetypes, but still manage to use many effective points of writing build characters and even draw empathy for a few. All the while hardly hinting at the actual plot of the story. I believe that so far Treasure Island demonstrates many aspects of good classic literature and has drawn me into the story.
